NEW YORK, Sept 1 — One of two people stabbed by a woman in New York’s famed Times Square on Monday has died of their injuries, as has the attacker, who was shot by police, the city’s mayor announced.
“I am deeply saddened to report that one of the victims has passed away, as has the alleged perpetrator. The second victim is currently in the hospital in stable condition,” Zohran Mamdani said. — AFP
