He said talks are continuing and described them as progressing positively, despite what he called inaccurate media reports.

Speaking at a Cabinet meeting at the White House, Trump said Iran is seeking to reach an agreement but expressed uncertainty about whether a deal would be finalized.

“They're not fools. They're very smart, actually, in a certain way. And they're great negotiators,” he said, while also criticizing their military capabilities.

Trump said Iran is pushing for a deal, adding that the United States is not under pressure to reach an agreement.

“In fact, we have other targets we want to hit before we leave. We're hitting them on a daily basis,” he said.

Regional tensions have escalated since Feb. 28, when the United States and Israel launched a joint attack on Iran. The escalation has led to significant casualties and ongoing exchanges.
