Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - TEHRAN — Iran said Saturday that its Natanz nuclear enrichment complex was targeted again in a US-Israeli attack, according to a statement carried by the semi-official Tasnim News Agency.
The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran said the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan enrichment facility in Natanz was struck as part of what it described as “criminal attacks” by the United States and Israel.
It added that the strike violated international laws and commitments, including the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and nuclear safety regulations.
The organization said technical assessments were conducted to evaluate the possibility of radioactive contamination, confirming that no leak was detected and that there is no danger to residents near the site.
The Natanz facility had previously been targeted in a similar strike on March 2 and was among three key nuclear sites hit during US operations last year, alongside Fordow and Isfahan.
The latest development comes amid ongoing US-Israeli military operations against Iran since Feb. 28, with Tehran responding through repeated drone and missile attacks targeting Israel and Gulf countries.
