Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - KUWAIT — Kuwait Petroleum Corporation said Thursday that two separate drone attacks targeted operational units at major oil refineries, triggering limited fires but causing no injuries.

In a statement carried by the state news agency KUNA, the corporation said a drone struck an operational unit at the Mina Al-Ahmadi Refinery, resulting in a contained fire.

Authorities immediately took necessary measures to manage the incident and ensure operational safety.

In a separate attack, another drone targeted an operational unit at the Mina Abdullah Refinery, also causing a fire at the site.

The corporation confirmed that all precautionary measures were implemented to protect workers and secure both facilities.

Six firefighting teams responded to the incidents and successfully brought the fires under control, according to KUNA.

The attacks come amid a series of recent incidents in Kuwait, where authorities have reported intercepting missiles and drones aimed at military facilities without casualties.
