Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - KUWAIT — Kuwait’s Interior Ministry announced Monday the arrest of a terrorist cell linked to the banned Hezbollah organization, accused of plotting to destabilize security and recruit individuals inside the country.
In a statement carried by state television, the ministry said security authorities uncovered the group following intensive surveillance and investigations, revealing an organized sabotage plot targeting the country’s sovereignty and stability.
The cell consisted of 14 Kuwaiti nationals and two Lebanese nationals, the ministry said, adding that their activities aimed to spread chaos and undermine public order, posing a direct threat to national security.
