Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - KUWAIT CITY — Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation said Saturday that a drone targeted Kuwait International Airport, causing minor injuries to several workers and limited material damage to Terminal 1, amid ongoing regional developments.

Spokesman Abdullah Al-Rajhi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that the relevant authorities immediately activated approved emergency procedures, dealt with the incident and secured the site.

He added that assessment and recovery operations are ongoing, along with the reorganization of flight operations in line with the highest safety standards.

Al-Rajhi stressed that the situation is fully under control by the competent state authorities and that the safety of passengers and staff remains a top priority.
