Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - ADEN — Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council on Friday approved the formation of a new government and named its members, following a proposal submitted by Prime Minister Shaya Al-Zandani.
The decision was issued by the head of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi, after securing the council’s approval.
Under the new formation, Al-Zandani was appointed prime minister while also retaining the portfolio of foreign affairs and expatriates. Moammar Al-Eryani was named minister of Media, Nayef Al-Bakri minister of youth and sports, and Salem Al-Soqatri minister of agriculture, irrigation and fisheries.
The lineup also includes Ibrahim Haidan as interior minister, Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi as minister of water and environment, Mohammed Al-Ashwal as minister of industry and trade, and Qassem Buhaybeh as minister of public health and population.
Other key appointments include Badr Al-Aradha as minister of justice, Taher Al-Aqeeli as minister of defense, Badr Basalama as minister of local administration, and Motee Dammaj as minister of culture and tourism.

The government also named Anwar Al-Mahri as minister of technical education and vocational training, Adnan Al-Kaf as minister of electricity and energy, Marwan bin Ghanem as minister of finance, and Afrah Al-Zouba as minister of planning and international cooperation.
Additional appointments covered civil service, legal affairs, education, higher education, telecommunications, oil and minerals, transport, public works, social affairs, human rights, religious endowments, and several ministers of state, including portfolios for parliament affairs, the capital secretariat, Aden governorate, and women’s affairs.
