Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - DENPASAR, Indonesia — Indonesian authorities are searching for two Australian nationals suspected of fatally shooting a tourist and injuring another at a luxury villa near Munggu Beach on Bali’s popular Badung coast.
The attack occurred shortly after midnight Friday at Villa Casa Santisya, where 32-year-old Zivan Radmanovic from Melbourne was shot and killed in a bathroom.
Another Australian man, aged 34, also from Melbourne, was severely beaten, Badung Police Chief Arif Batubara said Saturday.
“We cannot yet determine the motive,” Batubara stated, confirming an active investigation is underway.
Police said 17 bullet casings and two intact rounds were recovered from the bathroom where Radmanovic was found.
The villa was occupied by five guests at the time — including both victims, their wives, and another foreign tourist.
Witnesses told investigators that two masked gunmen arrived at the villa on a scooter.
One wore an orange jacket and dark helmet; the other wore a dark green jacket, black mask, and dark helmet.
Radmanovic’s wife, Gourdeas Jazmyn, 30, told police she awoke to her husband’s screams and hid under a blanket as multiple gunshots rang out. She later discovered his body.
The Australian Consulate in Bali has been contacted, and an autopsy is pending family permission, Batubara said.
Authorities have not disclosed whether the suspects fled the island or are still believed to be in Bali. — Agencies
