SEOUL, March 26 — Wildfires in South Korea have killed 24 people, officials said today, warning that the toll could rise further, with more people injured and the blaze still not under control.
“Twenty-four people are confirmed dead in the wildfires so far,” and 12 seriously injured, a ministry of interior and safety official told AFP, adding that these were “preliminary figures” and the toll could rise. — AFP
