Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - RAMALLAH — The Israeli army arrested at least 16 Palestinians during fresh military raids across the occupied West Bank on Sunday, Palestinian media reported.

According to the official news agency Wafa, six Palestinians were detained in Ramallah, including in the towns of Silwad and Deir Qaddis.

Israeli forces also raided multiple homes in the city and surrounding areas, arresting at least seven more individuals.

In Tubas, three people were arrested during a military operation in the Al-Far’a refugee camp.

Tensions remain high in the West Bank, where at least 930 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 7,000 injured in attacks by Israeli forces and settlers since the outbreak of the Gaza conflict on Oct. 7, 2023, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.

In July, the International Court of Justice ruled that Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territories is illegal and called for the removal of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. — Agencies
