WASHINGTON, Feb 26 — US President Donald Trump has uploaded an outlandish AI-generated video of “Trump Gaza”, in an apparent attempt to convey his vision for the Palestinian property he previously claimed his country would take over.
Pinned on his official Truth Social page, the video depicted war-torn Gaza being transformed into a luxurious “Trump Gaza”, complete with futuristic skyscrapers, beaches, and a “Trump Gaza” hotel.
The surreal visuals included Elon Musk eating flatbread, bearded women dancing, money falling from the sky, a golden statue of Trump himself, and ending with Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sipping cocktails by the beach.
The only time Palestinians are featured is at the start, ostensibly prior to the forced relocation Trump previously proposed.
The video also suggests an alternate interpretation of Trump’s comments in a Fox News interview, in which he said: “I would own this.”
In a meeting with Netanyahu earlier this month, Trump suddenly announced that the US could occupy Gaza and permanently relocate its Palestinian residents to neighbouring countries.
He proposed redeveloping Gaza into a luxurious "Riviera of the Middle East", envisioning a transformed region with skyscrapers, resorts, and international investment.
The controversial plan drew global backlash for oversimplifying the humanitarian crisis and ignoring the ongoing war and displacement of Palestinians.
Critics condemned the idea as unrealistic and politically insensitive, but Trump insists it would create jobs and prosperity.
