The strike on Kazan follows a Ukrainian attack Friday on the Kursk region in Russia, where U.S.-supplied missiles killed six people, including a child. Ukraine has not officially acknowledged the Kazan operation, in line with its security policy.
Meanwhile, Russia launched a massive drone offensive on Ukraine overnight. Ukrainian officials reported 113 drones were sent across the country, with 57 shot down and 56 electronically jammed.
