According to the press office of Tatarstan Governor Rustam Minnikhanov, eight drones targeted the city. Six hit residential buildings, one struck an industrial facility, and another was intercepted over a river.

A verified video shared on Telegram shows a drone crashing into the upper floors of a high-rise building.

Local authorities reported no casualties from the attacks. In response, flights were suspended at Kazan’s airport, and all mass gatherings were canceled for the weekend.

The strike on Kazan follows a Ukrainian attack Friday on the Kursk region in Russia, where U.S.-supplied missiles killed six people, including a child. Ukraine has not officially acknowledged the Kazan operation, in line with its security policy.

Meanwhile, Russia launched a massive drone offensive on Ukraine overnight. Ukrainian officials reported 113 drones were sent across the country, with 57 shot down and 56 electronically jammed.
