Hind Al Soulia - Riyadh - KYIV — At least eight people were killed and 44 others injured in overnight Russian attacks on northern and eastern Ukraine, according to official statements released on Sunday.
Mykola Oleshchuk, the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force, claimed on Telegram that Russia launched missile attacks targeting the border regions of Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Donetsk. Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi stated on X that the attack in Kramatorsk targeted a hotel, injuring an unspecified number of foreign journalists. He urged the international community to condemn these attacks.
The Sumy Regional Military Administration announced on Telegram that one person was killed and 16 others injured in a missile strike in the region.
Kharkiv Governor Oleh Synyehubov reported on Telegram that 13 people were injured in the cities of Kharkiv and Chuhuiv.
