In 18 seasons with Real Madrid, Francisco “Paco” Gento scored 182 goals in 601 matches, and established a record of titles that included in particular, as well as six European Cups, 12 Spanish League titles and two King’s Cup titles. Before his death, he was honorary president of the Royal Club. The left wing formed a fiery attack alongside Alfredo Di Stefano, Hector Real, Hungarian Ferenc Puskas and French Raymond Kopa (from 1956 to 1959), and lifted five consecutive cups in the Champions League between 1956 and 1960, and was crowned with a sixth title six years later.
