Beirut – (dpa) – A Lebanese report stated that the prices of all fuels witnessed a new rise today, Thursday.
According to what was reported by the “National Media Agency” today, the price of 95 octane gasoline increased by 3000 pounds, the octane 98 by 3000 pounds, diesel oil by 16,600 pounds and gas by 14 thousand pounds.
The price of 95-octane gasoline has become 377,800 pounds, 98-octane gasoline has become 390,600 pounds, diesel is 410 thousand pounds, and gas is 359,500 pounds.
This increase comes after the price of the octane canister of gasoline rose to 23 thousand and 400 pounds, the octane gas canister of 24 thousand and 200 pounds, and the diesel oil of 33,000 pounds and gas to 26,200 pounds.
Lebanon is suffering from an economic crisis, a decline in the volume of financial flows from abroad, a rise in the volume of public debt, an increase in the exchange rate of the dollar against the Lebanese pound, as it touched 32,000 Lebanese pounds to the dollar, and a decline in purchasing power due to the high prices and the collapse of the exchange rate of the lira.
The minimum wage in the country is 675,000 Lebanese pounds.
