The Gulf and the World – Putin: The aggression of international...

Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that the CSTO forces will be withdrawn from Kazakhstan as soon as the situation returns to normal.

During the extraordinary session of the Collective Security Council, Putin noted that the situation in Kazakhstan is gradually returning to normal, while stressing that the CSTO forces will be present in Kazakhstan as long as necessary.

And he indicated that the events in Kazakhstan are not the first and will not be the last attempts of external intervention, stressing that the aggression of international terrorism in Kazakhstan was monitored, and that the militants had received training and had experience of fighting in “hot spots”.

“The measures taken by the CSTO clearly showed that we will not allow our situation to be destabilized and will not allow the implementation of the so-called color revolution scenario,” Putin said.

And the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization sent peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan after the country’s president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, appealed to the leaders of the member states of the organization to help his country overcome what he described as “the terrorist threat.”
