Dan Eric Zemmour, the right-wing candidate in the French presidential elections, showed a video clip that showed two armed supporters of his supporters threatening to target President Emmanuel Macron, the Algerians and Moroccans.
Zammour said in a statement, addressing the two mentioned persons: “You are not part of my supporters, nor of those who fight for me, not even my friends. I owe in advance everything you will do in my name during my election campaign. I do not want your support or help.”
And French media had published a video clip on social media platforms of a person carrying a weapon and claiming that he was shooting at Algerian and Moroccan flags.
According to the French “mediapart” website, the gunman targeted the current French President Emmanuel Macron and the elected officials of the “la France insoumise” movement, Alexis Corbier and Raquel Garrido.
The video clip sparked widespread controversy, prompting Corbier and Garrido to contact the French Interior Minister in order to take quick measures to put an end to the perpetrators of violence.
The French presidential candidate, Eric Zemmour, is one of the most prominent figures who are hostile to Algeria, although he is of Algerian origin.
Many analysts expected that the far-right would cause restrictions on the Algerians in France.
