Today, Monday, gas prices in Europe rose by about 11%, after stopping the direct pumping of Russian gas to Germany through the Yamal-Europe pipeline.
The price of gas futures contracts for the month of December at the TTF center in the Netherlands increased at the beginning of trading by 11% and reached $861 per thousand cubic meters.
According to TASS, gas pumping stopped last Saturday through the Yamal-Europe pipeline.
The gas pipeline “Yamal-Europe” passes through the territories of 4 countries: Russia, Belarus, Poland and Germany. The design capacity of the pipeline is 32.9 billion cubic meters of gas per year.
