Books – Muhammad Obaid:

Cairo International Airport received, on Thursday evening, an ambulance plane coming from England, carrying Moawad Adel, one of the casualties of the January 25 revolution, after he was shot in the head during the events of Mohamed Mahmoud Street.

Moawad was treated in England for 10 years, to be completed in one of the specialized medical centers in Cairo, in coordination with the medical mission at the Egyptian Embassy in London.

Informed sources at the airport said that Nora Fathy, the public relations representative of the Cairo Port Company, under the supervision of Dr. Tarek Ismail, Director General of Public Relations, received the injured and completed his arrival procedures, in coordination with all concerned authorities, and transported him in an equipped ambulance to a medical center to complete his treatment.

The student, Moawad Adel Moawad, was shot in the head during the events of the revolution, when the Prime Minister at that time issued a decision to treat him abroad at the expense of the state.

Moawad Adel, a student in the fourth year of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Misr University for Science and Technology at the time, was hit by two bullets in the head, resulting in a fracture of the bones of the skull, brain infiltration and complete paralysis of the limbs.

On April 2, 2013, the Administrative Court of Justice had ordered the state, represented by the National Council for the Care of the Families of Martyrs and Injured of the Revolution, to treat Adel Moawad, one of the demonstrators in the first Mohamed Mahmoud events, at the state’s expense.
