The 570 branches generated 3 billion Swiss francs, up 15.6%. As for the 268 surfaces managed by Denner’s partners (franchised stores), they recorded revenues reaching 0.8 billion, which corresponds to a rise of 16.2% compared to 2019. To cope with this growth, Denner created 479 new jobs last year.
In 2020, Denner expanded its branch network by opening 16 new sales areas. With the outbreak of the coronavirus crisis, household habits have changed slightly, marked by a significant drop in the frequency of visits of 0.4% compared to the previous year, but with more spending during each visit to store. As a result, the average value of the shopping cart has appreciated by 16%.
