Salary revealed: Pochettino, highest paid coach in Psg history

A smooth negotiation led by Mauricio Pochettino. In the aftermath of Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 victory over Olympique de Marseille in the Champions Trophy, L’Equipe reveals that the Argentinian has signed a contract which makes him the highest paid coach in history from the capital club.
His net tax salary would currently amount to 525 thousand euros per month, not counting individual and collective bonuses. In monthly gross, this corresponds to approximately 940 thousand euros.
These fees should increase at the end of the season. Hired until June 2022, with an optional additional year, Mauricio Pochettino should receive 625,000 euros net of tax from next summer. A sum that would even increase to 670 thousand euros if the third year is activated.
Upon his arrival, the former Spurs coach would therefore have a higher remuneration than that of many of his players, whose average salary is 806 thousand euros gross per month.

Pochettino positive for Covid-19
But on the health side, the news is not good for the Argentine. Indeed, the Parisian club announced Friday that its coach was positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a Pcr test. He will therefore not be on the coaching bench on Saturday for Angers-Psg.
