The woman is accused of criminal negligence causing death, Laval police confirm to TVA Nouvelles.
The inanimate body of the little girl was discovered around 2:30 p.m. on Sunday January 3, in a residence on rue Le Boutillier in the Chomedey district in Laval.
The child had burn marks on 80% of her body and numerous bruises when she was found by the emergency services called on the spot.
The girl was in cardiopulmonary arrest. His death was declared at the hospital center.
Six witnesses had been met by the police in relation to this sad case.
