– Tonight is WWE SmackDown, the blue show kicks off with commentators welcoming us, then Roman Reigns, Jey Uso and Paul Heyman arrive in the ring. Reigns wants to talk about what happened last week. He wants to start by saying that he loves Kevin Owens. He’s a pain in the ass, but he respects someone as ambitious as Kevin Owens. Someone who gets up. He didn’t want anything bad to happen to him, but he did what he had to do. He likes the whole roster. When you are on top you have to worry about everyone. He takes care of their health and their families. He puts food on everyone’s table. Now Kevin Owens isn’t fit to come to work, but it’s not his fault. If there is one person to accuse, it is Adam Pearce.
Roman Reigns demands that Adam Pearce enter the ring. Pearce eventually arrives and asks Reigns what he can do for him. Reigns responds asking for a video to be played. We review what happened since the Steel Cage Match against Kevin Owens. Reigns tells Pearce to be a man. There are witnesses here, he said he was done with Kevin Owens. Who did the latter go to? He went to his friend Adam Pearce to ask him a favor. If he had a longtime friend, he would take care of his health. He’s supposed to make the right decisions, that’s not what he did with Kevin Owens.
What happened ? He is not there to provide for his family. That’s what he did. It’s his fault. Reigns is a good guy and a gentleman, so he’s giving him the chance to redeem himself. What is he doing ? Is he booking a Gauntlet Match? Can’t Reigns make his own choice? He’s been doing this for years. Adam Pearce replies that he’s trying to put the best challengers against him. It’s part of his job. Reigns asks everyone to applaud Pearce for doing a good job. Will Pearce get into the Gauntlet Match? Pearce responds that it is a conflict of interest.
Roman Reigns says Adam Pearce thinks he’s stupid. Pearce retorts. Reigns asks him if he’s stupid or silly. Pearce says he never said Reigns was stupid. Reigns asks if Vince McMahon is stupid. Pearce asks him what they’re doing here. Reigns says if Adam Pearce and Roman Reigns aren’t stupid, that means Roman Reigns is stupid. This is where the problem lies. If he thinks Reigns is stupid, he insults him and if he insults him, he doesn’t respect his family. And there are consequences. Pearce tells him he has total respect. Roman Reigns start to take him by his costume, Adam Pearce asks him to let go, which Reigns ends up doing. The latter says it is his mistake, no one in this ring is stupid before leaving the ring.
Singles Match – Intercontinental Championship
Big E vs Apollo Crews
At the end of the match, Apollo Crews Suplexes Big E and tries the pin. The referee against 3 but Big E does not seem to agree.
Gagnant : Apollo Crews
– After the advertisement, the referee lets it be known that the shoulders of the two wrestlers were on the ground, so the match starts again.
Singles Match – Intercontinental Championship
Big E vs Apollo Crews
At the end of the match, Big E makes his Big Ending on Apollo Crews for the pinfall victory.
Winner: Big E – Still champion
– Behind the scenes, Sonya Deville joins Adam Pearce. The latter is surprised that she accepted the job. Deville says a lot has happened in the past year and she wants to start new things.
– Behind the scenes, Bianca Belair is with Alyse Ashton and we learn that the wrestler will be in the Royal Rumble Match. Bayley joins them and asks her how many wrestlers she eliminated last year. Belair responds 8. Bayley says Belair didn’t eliminate her, Belair says Bayley wasn’t in the game. Bayley says she will win the Royal Rumble Match. If Belair had won the match last week, she would have challenged Bayley, but Bayley is out of a title now.
– Behind the scenes, Carmella congratulates Sasha Banks on being the Top Superstar of 2020. She took a hiatus last week, which is why Banks won. Things come naturally to him. When it comes to talent, Banks doesn’t come close to him.
Tag Team Match – SmackDown Tag Team Championship
Robert Roode et Dolph Ziggler vs Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) (c)
At the end of the match, Dolph Ziggler arrives in the ring and the duo do a Spinebuster / Zig Zag combo on a Street Profits member for the pinfall victory.
Winners: Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler – New Champions
– Behind the scenes, Paul Heyman tells Adam Pearce he likes him. He respects him enormously. But he didn’t dream of this job. He wanted to be THE champion in WWE. So Paul Heyman managed to put him in the Gauntlet Match for tonight. All thanks to Roman Reigns. He is happy for him.
Gauntlet Match
The winner will face Roman Reigns for the Universal title at the Royal Rumble.
Daniel Bryan, Baron Corbin, Sami Zayn, Rey Mysterio, Shinsuke Nakamura et Adam Pearce
Rey Mysterio arrives with Dominik, then Sami Zayn makes his entrance, accompanied by a cameraman and photographer.

The match begins and Rey Mysterio pushes Sami Zayn to the ropes, before giving him his 619 followed by the Frog Splash for the pinfall victory.

At the end of the match, Shinsuke Nakamura fights a Frog Splash and makes him a Cross ArmBreaker, Rey Mysterio taps.

– King Corbin attacks Dominik Mysterio before his match.
Shinsuke Nakamura vs King Corbin
At the end of the match, Shinsuke Nakamura made his Kinshasa on King Corbin for the victory by pinfall.

Shinsuke Nakamura vs Daniel Bryan
At the end of the match, Shinsuke Nakamura made his Kinshasa on Daniel Bryan for the victory by pinfall.

– After the game, Shinsuke Nakamura and Daniel Bryan shake hands. Roman Reigns, Jey Uso and Paul Heyman arrive on the stage. Adam Pearce then makes his entry. Jey Uso faces Nakamura and hits him. Reigns joins him and punches Nakamura. Jey Uso gives him a Superkick, then Reigns gives him his Superman Punch, before a Jey Uso Splash. Reigns puts Pearce in the ring and Uso gives him a Superkick. The referee rings the bell.
Adam Pearce vs Shinsuke Nakamura
Jey Uso puts Adam Pearce on Shinsuke Nakamura and the referee pinches for the win.
Winner: Adam Pearce
