Graz – December 4, 2020. The international technology group ANDRITZ has signed an agreement with Laroche, based in Cours, France, to acquire LM Industries – consisting of Laroche SA and Miltec SA, France. ANDRITZ takes over all Laroche companies and their global business. Subject to the approval of the acquisition by the ANDRITZ Supervisory Board, the closing of the transaction is expected in early 2021.

Laroche is a leading supplier of fiber processing technologies such as fiber opening, mixing and dosing, airlay fleece formation, recycling of textile waste and debarking of bast fibers (decortication). The product portfolio complements the existing ANDRITZ Nonwoven product range. ANDRITZ can now cover the entire supply and value chain – from raw material to fiber opening and blending, web formation, consolidation, refinement, drying and further processing. Laroche’s high-performance technologies for fiber opening and mixing expand the ANDRITZ scope of supply for spunlace, needle punch and wetlaid production lines. In addition, the two companies have agreed to further develop their existing technologies for high-speed, high-capacity applications and to pursue the development of textile recycling processes in order to successfully meet the upcoming changes in the industry.

Laroche SA has been developing fiber processing technologies for over 100 years. With integrated production, the company supplies lines for a wide variety of industries / products: spinning mills, mattresses and furniture, the automotive industry, sound and heat insulation, geotextiles, filtration, wet wipes and much more.
