Reham Said provokes a new crisis because of the fox –...

The Egyptian presenter, Reham Said, sparked a state of anger after showing an episode of her program “Sabaya El-Khair”, during which she made a wild trip to hunt wolves and foxes.

The episode, which was shown last Wednesday, was followed by campaigns to stop the program and the trial of Saeed, who had become accustomed to attack campaigns and courts due to its controversial episodes over the years.

Reham Saeed showed her audience this time with an episode entitled “Hunting Animals”, in which she beat and tortured a small fox that was handcuffed until his tears flowed in front of the cameras, which called for various animal rights associations to object to the episode and launch campaigns in which a large number of audiences affected by the difficult scene participated, demanding Punishing Saeed and suspending the program.

Soon, Al-Nahar TV published an apology to the fans for the episode and its content, and announced its removal from all platforms.

The channel confirmed that the aim of the episode was to shed light on the activity of hunting animals in Egypt and exporting them abroad, and continued: “We appreciate the anger of the social media users on the hunting scene.”

For her part, Egyptian Environment Minister Yasmine Fouad confirmed that no hunting permits have been issued to any of the individuals or entities to photograph a hunting trip for wild animals due to the crisis of the media program Reham Said.

The Minister of Environment explained that the circulating videos involve several violations, the most important of which is hunting a wild animal without a permit and using prohibited hunting tools and methods because they cause harm to animals, as well as dealing in an inhumane manner and violating animal welfare laws and customs, and therefore this TV program presented a false and unprofessional message to promote actions and behavior that violated For the law, as illegal and overfishing threatens Egypt’s natural wealth and leads, along with other dangers, to the loss of many species and components of biological diversity, thus causing the loss of the state’s natural capital.
