Third mysterious object appears, now in California

After appearing and disappearing in Utah and Romania, another monolith that recalls the scenes from “2001: A Space Odyssey” was discovered. Now, an object similar to the first two has been spotted in California.

The structure was seen yesterday in the small town of Atascadero, in central California. According to the local newspaper Atascadero News, the object is at the top of Pine Moutain and has already attracted the attention of dozens of onlookers, who climbed the hill to register the mysterious attraction in photos and videos.

The monolith is also about 3 meters high and is silver, but this time it is not attached to the ground – thus being more likely to be knocked down, according to Atascadero News. It is estimated that he weighs about 90 kg.

The material is similar to what you see, for example, in silver kitchen utensils – which makes it emit a strong shine when lit by the sun.

Despite the similarity, it is not yet known whether the object in California is exactly like that in Utah – the first to appear and disappear – or that in Romania, which has also been removed.

According to testimony by Ray Johnson, who makes trails at the site, the object was not there on Tuesday. The local city council said it had no information on how the monolith got there, or what would be ugly with it.

The disappearance of the Utah monolith was what caused the most repercussions. Four men were caught by a photographer removing the object from the site, and an American said he took it.
