The son is said to have been detained in the apartment since he was twelve years old, and is now in his 40s, Expressen reports.

The information comes from a relative of the woman, who claims that she recently broke into the apartment where she found the man.

She describes that the apartment was almost like a landfill.

– It can not have been washed for decades. It was like going straight into a horror movie, the woman tells the newspaper Expresen.

Investigated by police

The man could barely speak, must have been very numb, toothless and with large wounds on his body.

Aftonbladet and Expressen report that the man was transported to hospital after he was found. He must have undergone surgery immediately after he was admitted.

The hospital then reported the case to the police.

Police are sparse with information about the case, but press spokesperson Towe Hägg confirms that the case is under investigation.

The woman is being investigated for deprivation of liberty.

Suspected that the boy was trapped

Expressen writes that family members say that the then 12-year-old boy went to school until the seventh grade, but that he then disappeared from society.

The woman who found the man, she says for several years has suspected that the boy was kept imprisoned by his own mother.

– The mother managed to manipulate society in all years. It is horrible that he has been robbed all his life, says the relative.

The man’s health condition is said to be very poor, according to the hospital. He has not been able to be questioned.

Aftonbladet writes that the family describes the woman as a very overprotective mother, who took her son out of school and kept him at home.
