Assassination of Iranian scientist: This is how Muhsin Fahrizadeh was assassinated

The Iranian news agency Fares, which is affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards, today released new details about how it eliminated Iranian scientist Muhsin Fahrizadeh, who was in charge of the nuclear program. According to the agency, the assassination was carried out using a remote-controlled automatic weapon.

Fahrizadeh was reportedly on his way to a people’s holiday, when in the convoy around them were a number of vehicles securing them. At one point the vehicle leading the convoy left it to carry out a preliminary security check of Fahrizadeh’s house, during which time a bullet was fired at his vehicle which stopped him, causing him to go out and investigate the cause. At this point a fire was opened and he was hit by three bullets.

According to the investigation, the fire was fired from a Nissan car on which was a remote-controlled automatic machine gun, which was destroyed and exploded moments after the assassination, which lasted only three minutes. In addition, it appears that the owner of the Nissan car left Iran on October 29.

As you may recall, after the assassination, Iran officially claimed that the Israelis were behind the operation, and Iran’s supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, “swore revenge” on it, saying that “his scientific and technical work will continue.”

A few hours earlier, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani had also accused Israel of assassination: “The evil hands of world arrogance have been stained with the blood of Zionist mercenaries.” He added in a statement broadcast on state television in Iran that “the assassination shows the depth of our enemies’ despair and the depth of their hatred. The assassination will not slow down the work of the nuclear program.”
