Today, Friday, the Iranian Ministry of Defense announced the assassination of the head of the Ministry’s Research and Technology Center, describing the operation as terrorist, according to “Russia Today.”
The Iranian media conflicted information about the operation. While Fars agency said that Iranian nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was killed by gunfire in the capital, Tehran, Tasnim Agency said that Fakhri Zadeh is still in the operation room in an attempt to save his life.
But the Iranian Ministry of Defense confirmed in a statement that “armed terrorist elements attacked a car carrying Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, head of the Research and Technology Center at the Ministry of Defense, in a statement on Friday afternoon. During the clash between his security team and terrorists, Mr. Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was seriously injured and taken to hospital.”
She added, “Unfortunately, the medical team did not succeed in reviving it, and a few minutes ago, this director and the scientist, after years of effort and struggle, obtained a high degree.”
