The seven German ski racers failed in qualification in the morning. Lena Dürr (Germering) missed the final of the best 16 in 22nd by 0.12 seconds, Andrea Filser (Wildsteig) was 29th 0.29 seconds away.
Jessica Hilzinger (Oberstdorf) ended up behind in 46th place. Martina Ostler (Garmisch), Lisa Marie Loipetssperger, Fabiana Dorigo (both Munich) and Leonie Flötgen (Starnberg) did not make two runs to the finish.
Vlhova had recently won the two slalom races in Levi / Finland, and the Slovakian had taken third place at the start of the giant slalom in Sölden.
