Animal rights activist Peter Janssen has been sentenced to 25 months in prison, 10 of which are conditional, for arson at a duck slaughterhouse in Ermelo. The 35-year-old man, known as the Vegan Streaker, also has to pay damages of more than 5000 euros.

The activist set fire to a truck and trailers in the middle of the night almost six months ago. The residents of six surrounding houses were evacuated, Omroep Gelderland reports.

Janssen came into the picture as a suspect, because his car key was found at the duck slaughterhouse. That key was in his pants, which he took off after accidentally setting himself on fire too.
