At a quarter to three on Sunday night, Joe Biden went on stage in Wilmington, Delaware to give his victory speech after winning the US election.
– The people have had their say, Biden said to the large crowds.
– I am humble for the trust they place in me. I do not want to split, but to gather.
After the speech, First Lady Jill Biden came on stage.
As Joe Biden put his arms around her to give a hug, Bergen tones suddenly came over the massive loudspeaker system.
The incoming presidential couple greeted the American people for the very first gong for the Kygo song “Higher Love”.

“Higher Love” was originally written by Steve Winwood, who had a hit with the song in 1986.
Then Whitney Houston recorded a cover version, which never appeared on any album.
It chose Kygo to make a remix of, and gave the song new life.
– I tried to get it to the right out as something she would do, but also something that is my style, Kygo said about the song for Rolling Stone in 2019.
The new presidential couple greeted the crowds who had turned up for the song.
Then the rest of the Biden family came on stage.
