A man’s body was found in a house in Phibsboro, Dublin yesterday – with Gardai checking to see if he had been beaten to death.
The discovery is believed to have been made after another man told his attorney that he was involved in a row at the Auburn Street house.

The man who came forward has since been arrested on suspicion of murder and is at Mountjoy Garda Station.
The dead man is in his forties and officials tried to contact his family last night.
A source said: “The victim appears to have been the victim of a violent attack and was dead when Gardai arrived at the property.
“It’s early on in the investigation, but it could be linked to an ongoing property dispute.
“Both the victim and the man who was arrested are known to one another.”
Independent parish councilor Anthony Flynn said the news was a “blow” adding, “The family who live in the house are well known to the community.
