Senior member of the notorious Assyrian gang of criminals shot dead...

A senior member of the notorious Assyrian gang DLASTHR is fighting for his life in the hospital after being seriously injured in an exchange of fire.

Samer Marcus was shot multiple times on Friday at around 8:25 p.m. at his home on Campbelltown Rd in the southwestern suburb of Denham Court, Sydney.

He is the youngest underworld figure in Sydney to have been hit by violent attacks in recent weeks and arouses fears that a bloody gang war is being waged on the streets of the port city.

“Campbelltown City Police Area Command officers were present and found a man aged 45 with multiple wounds,” police said.

He was treated on-site by paramedics from the New South Wales Ambulance before being rushed to hospital in critical condition.

“A crime scene was set up and an investigation into the circumstances of the incident started.”

It is understood that his partner the gang boss was at home at the time of the gruesome shooting.

But it’s not the first time the infamous gangster has been shot dead this year.

Campbelltown District Court was notified in August that Marcus had been shot in the face just four months earlier in June.

Marcus showed up at the hospital three days after being shot with a bullet.

In court, it was revealed that Marcus had gone to Middlehope Street in Bonnyrigg Heights to face a 33-year-old man with whom he had a complaint, the Daily Telegraph reported.

The man shot Marcus several times and one hit the DLASTHR member in the face.

The shooter was charged with ten criminal offenses, including shooting with intentional murder and lowering a gun in a public place.

Marcus was also charged with hiding a serious and accusable crime after failing to report that he was shot.

Investigators have not confirmed whether the two shots are linked or whether they are part of a separate affair.

The police have identified DLASTHR, an acronym for “The Last Hour”, as a dangerous gang that controls Drug area in Sydney’s Fairfield area.

In 2016, the NSW Supreme Court heard DLASTHR has been involved in a number of violent conflicts with other gangs in the past.

The final shoot comes just weeks after another high-profile underworld figure was shot in southwest Sydney.

Mejid Hamzy, 44, brother of the notorious criminal and Brothers For Life founder Bassam Hamzy, was shot dead outside his home in Condell Park on October 19.

Mejid’s death has already led to more violence as police fear the retaliation will cause slaughter on Sydney’s streets.

Mohammed Hamzy, the brother’s cousin, was stabbed to death after being executed at the John Morony Correctional Center in Windsor.

Strike Force Raptor has since stepped up its anti-criminal network activities, issuing public safety orders to 22 men associated with the Hamzy and Alameddine families to prevent further retaliation.

The public safety ordinances include restricted areas for 22 men that also restrict who they can communicate with for 72 hours.

It also means that the police can search their cars and houses whenever they want.

“Well, the time to fool around is over. We have people dying on the streets and it has to stop, ”Detective Superintendent Robert Critchlow told 2 GB radio station.

“We are fed up with this behavior … and we will not tolerate persistent behavior that endangers the entire community.”

“We’re not stopping. We use every legislative power to prevent further crime and make these people stop. ‚

Officers from Strike Force Raptor and the Southwest Metropolitan Area, in addition to issuing public safety instructions, have continued the targeted execution of gun prohibition instructions in Sydney’s southwest.

The police have vowed to use all legislative opportunities and powers at their disposal to end the gangland war.

“The next step is likely to enforce severe prohibitive ordinances that severely restrict the lifestyles of those who have served them,” Detective Superintendent Critchlow said in a statement.

“Anyone involved in these shootings or other violent activities should expect to be arrested. Shooting into houses, shops or cars is reckless and dangerous and will not be tolerated by the police.

“We will not stop persecuting these ruthless and negligent people who continue to put the community at risk. When you are involved wherever you are in whatever you are doing, it is best to assume that we are watching your every move. ‚

It is unknown whether last night’s shooting at Marcus was related to the attacks on the Hamzy family.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800 333 000.
