His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri reviewed the statistics of the General Administration for Drug Control related to the number of cases, people and the quantities seized in the emirate during the past year, and the contribution of the General Department for Drug Control in arresting people accused of drug trafficking cases at the state level and the quantity seized in their possession.
The statistics showed that the General Department for Drug Control in Dubai Police contributed to the arrest of 35.6% of the accused involved in narcotic and psychotropic substances cases at the state level, and 56.2% of the quantities of drugs seized at the state level during the past year.
The General Department for Drug Control in Dubai Police was able to pass 126 important information to 35 countries, in cooperation with their liaison officers, and contributed to the arrest of 33 accused of different nationalities who were involved in drug cases during 2019.
