A dead body was tragically found while searching for a Dundalk man who went missing two weeks ago.

The body that was discovered in Knockbridge, Co Louth is believed to be that of Darren Brennan.

Gardai confirmed tonight that the search for the 30-year-old had been suspended following the discovery.

Darren went missing on October 24th and was last seen in a gray hoodie, gray sweatpants, wine bomber jacket, and white runners.

He was described as about 6 “tall, with black hair, and was known to be of average build.

The young man was a noted visitor to Galway City and the Mullingar areas.

A photo of Darren was posted on social media today to raise awareness about the situation. However, it was cleared in the late afternoon after a body was tragically found.
