Fly Dubai announced that it will start regular flights between Dubai and Tel Aviv from November 26, and the airline will operate two flights per day, 14 flights per week, between Dubai International Airport and Tel Aviv Ben Gurion.
The airline also made it possible to book flights on flydubai.com.
The announcement comes on the heels of the recently signed air transport agreement between the two countries and the commencement of passenger and air cargo flights by other national airlines. There was also a number of bilateral visits to open up travel and tourism opportunities.
Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said: Since flydubai was launched 11 years ago, we have always committed ourselves to removing barriers to travel, facilitating the flow of movement, freedom of trade and tourism, and enhancing communication between different cultures across our network. In the wake of the recent bilateral agreement, the start of regular flights will contribute to economic development and create more opportunities for investment in the pursuit of our common interests and values.
With the start of these services, there will be an option to boost entry to the UAE as well as to the Indian Ocean, the Far East and Africa, reducing total flight times by several hours.
Since launching operations in 2009, flydubai has been known for connecting to underserved markets that previously lacked flights, and connecting them to Dubai with direct flights. The code’s expanded partnership with Emirates Airlines provides travelers with seamless connections between the Emirates and flydubai networks to more than 155 destinations.
Passenger flight experience with flydubai has been redesigned to enable travel in a safe environment that minimizes crew and passenger contact, and passengers must ensure they keep pace with the regulations issued by the IATA Travel Center website throughout their journey and follow the instructions issued by the authorities and the airline.
The return business class airfare from Dubai International Airport to Ben Gurion Airport starts from 6000 dirhams, while the economy class price starts at 1600 dirhams. And return fares in business class from Ben Gurion Airport to Dubai start at $ 1,600, and economy class fares start at $ 360.
