Faster MacBooks with longer battery life will be presented at the...

APPLE is expected to launch the first MacBooks that run on proprietary chips.

The iPhone maker is expected to begin its separation from Intel at a special event next week.

The surprise event entitled “One More Thing” was announced yesterday evening and will take place on November 10th.

Apple already held two events last month showcasing the new iPhone 12, Apple Watch 6, a new iPad Air and the HomePod Mini.

Industry experts now expect Apple to finally introduce new Mac devices in 2020.

And, as Apple already annoyed, they could be the first Mac products to use Apple silicon chips.

This means that the usual Intel processors will be replaced by new ARM-based Apple silicon chips.

One reason everyone is excited is because of the iPhone.

Apple’s iPhone has been running on a custom processor for years – with great results.

Given the raw hardware on board, the handset offers comparatively high performance and battery life, as Apple can optimize the entire system.

Putting Apple’s own chips in the Mac can also over-control the raw processing hardware and software.

This could mean that the performance or battery life of future Mac products will increase significantly.

It’s not entirely clear which products will be launched with Apple Silicon on board.

Rumors of new MacBook Pro models have been floating around for months, though any MacBook could get an upgrade.

But that’s not all: there is also talk of some other products in the pipeline.

Apple’s long-rumored AirPods Studio are wireless headphones that could appear during the event.

And then there are AirTags – wireless location trackers that can be attached to objects and monitored with an iPhone app.

Neither product has been officially confirmed by Apple, but could be featured at the November 2020 event.

Unfortunately, Apple remains a mother for the time being – so we’ll have to wait for the big event to find out the truth.

The Apple special event begins at 10 a.m. local time in California, which is 1 p.m. New York time and 6 p.m. London time.

As always, it is expected that you will be able to live stream the event for free.
