A truck driver has denied running over a nurse who was jogging before she was raped and killed in Arkansas.
Quake Lewellyn, an award-winning farmer, was found not guilty Thursday in a Jonesboro, Arkansas court on Thursday in connection with the Sydney Sutherland murder.

The 28-year-old first told the state police that he mowed the 25-year-old nurse down, drove them to a nearby field and then raped her on the tailgate of his truck, according to an affidavit published on October 16.
After the rape, he said he dug a hole with a shovel, then threw Sutherland’s body into it and buried it, according to KATV police records.
Lewellyn’s attorney, Bill James, said he was concerned that people were focusing too much on rumors instead of letting the process flow.
“Everyone is so concerned about information on this case and it seems that everything that is said about it is in print,” said the attorney.
The state coroner found the young nurse had died from multiple blunt violent injuries.
Lewellyn’s mother Kerry handed over security material from her home to the police, according to KATV.
His wife, who reportedly filed for divorce last month, helped detectives review the footage and pointed out a dent in her husband’s truck that showed up the day Sutherland disappeared.

Authorities ransacked the home of the accused killer and police said they discovered a pair of shoes that matched the prints on the spot where police discovered Sutherland’s body.
Lewellyn and Sutherland had attended the same school, witnesses said.
But the truck driver first told the police that he hardly knew her.
He had not befriended Sutherland on social media recently, and police said they filed an arrest warrant to gain access to any Facebook messages the two had exchanged.
Cops raided Lewellyn’s 2019 GMC pickup after he and his father gave the detectives permission, records show. Police said they allegedly found traces of blood in the tailgate.
Lewellyn was arrested in August after Sutherland’s body was found meters from his location in the Life360 location tracking app, police said in an affidavit released in early October.
He has been charged with capital murder – which means he could be killed if convicted.
