Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan chanted some verses from the song “The full moon has risen to us from the folds of farewell” that the people of Medina chanted during the reception of the Prophet Muhammad after his emigration from Mecca.

This came in a speech by Erdogan during a meeting of the “Justice and Development” party’s parliamentary bloc, at the parliament headquarters in the capital, Ankara.

“Standing with all sincerity and sincerity against the attacks targeting our Prophet who honored Mecca, Medina, Asia, Africa, Europe and the whole world, is a matter of honor and dignity for us,” Erdogan said.

“Let us respond to those who try to encourage their dark hearts by defending the offense of the Messenger, by repeating what the residents of Medina (Al Munawarah) said 1442 years ago,” he added.

He pointed out that the world is going through a stage in which hostility to Islam and Muslims and insulting the Messenger is widespread, such as a malignant cancer, especially among European politicians.

“A Muslim cannot be a terrorist, nor can a terrorist be a Muslim,” he added.

Regarding the statements of French President Emmanuel Macron against Islam, Erdogan said, “France and Europe in general do not deserve the evil, provocative and ugly policies pursued by Macron and those who belong to the same mentality.”

He emphasized that those who equate Islam and Turkey with hostility will sink into the swamp of hatred and hatred that they entered in the name of freedom, considering that these are signs of Europe’s return to the barbaric era.

Erdogan called on “rational Europeans to take the initiative against this dangerous trend, for the sake of a bright future for themselves and their children.”

He addressed the West, saying, “Aren’t you the one who killed hundreds of thousands in Rwanda? Aren’t you the one who killed millions in Algeria? Aren’t you the one who entered every African country under the pretext of having diamonds, phosphates and gold and killed them? You are the killers.”

During the past few days, France witnessed the publication of insulting pictures and cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad on the facades of buildings, which sparked a wave of anger throughout the Islamic world.

On October 21, French President Emmanuel Macron said that France would not abandon the “caricatures”, which doubled the wave of anger in the Islamic world, and campaigns were launched in some countries boycotting French products and goods.
