Vietnam began evacuating more than half a million people from its coastal areas in the center of the country, as it prepares for the arrival of cyclone “Moulaf”, the fourth storm to hit this country within a few weeks.

The authorities decided to close schools and beaches and cancel many flights before the arrival of the powerful hurricane.

The typhoon is expected to hit land south of Danang around 1:00 pm local time on Wednesday, accompanied by winds with a maximum speed of 140 km per hour, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.

Vietnam’s Disaster Management Authority said more than 500,000 people will be moved to temporary housing.

And local media in Vietnam quoted Vice President of the National Monitoring Center Huang Phuk Lam as saying that Typhoon Mulaf will be one of the worst storms, accompanied by the strongest winds in the past twenty years.
