Tonight Jess Thorup will visit ex-club KAA Gent with Racing Genk. The fans of the home team apparently still have good memories of the trainer and therefore wanted to hang a banner to thank him.
“This action was not allowed by the club”, write the Ultras Ghent ’14 on their Instagram page. “It could be demotivating for their own team. This is about mutual respect, not about motivating or demotivating. Our team has enough strength and qualities to show itself and take the 3 points”, it said.
In order not to lose their hard work completely, they took the banner to the hotel where Genk is secluded. Jess Thorup came out to thank the fans for the gesture.
