Irish star Caroline Corr and husband Frank Woods announce the split...

Caroline Corr’s marriage to her husband and property developer Frank Woods has ended.

They married in Spain in 2002 and have three children, 17 year old Jake, 16 year old Georgina and 13 year old Rihann.

Caroline made a public announcement about the breakup on her Instagram page, reports RSVP Live.

She published a picture of the book ‘Conscious Disconnection, 5 Steps to Living Happily’ by Katherine Woodward Thomas.

The singer and drummer said, “This book has been around for a long time and I am certainly not the first or will be the last to mention it, but I was only beginning to really understand and like the term conscious disconnection than I mean Separation went through a few months ago after many, many years of marriage.

“The conscious effort to maintain a good, loving and respectful relationship with my ex has helped both of us and our children in particular.

“I am also so aware and understand that this may not always be possible for many couples due to pain, fear, anger, and loneliness.”

Caroline went on that the breakup wasn’t easy, but she and Frank are doing their best.

She said, “These transitions are not easy for anyone and we will get by and do our best.

“I would recommend this inspiring and supportive book to anyone going through the difficult transition of separation or divorce.”

Caroline is part of the Irish hit group The Corrs, which comes from County Louth along with siblings Sharon, Andrea and Jim.

Last year, Sharon separated from her husband Gavin Bonner after they were married in August 2011 at St. John’s Church in Cratloe, near the Limerick border, before a lavish reception at the Dromoland Castle Hotel.

Sunday World reports that Caroline and Frank will make no further statements about their marriage or separation.

Caroline currently lives in Somerset, England with her three children.
