BORIS Johnson’s fiancée makes herself comfortable at the university with friends – including one who became a topless demonstrator of climate change.
Carrie Symonds – now the mother of the Prime Minister’s young son, Wilfred – loved the limelight as an acting student and had an army of male admirers.
Exclusive pictures from Sun on Sunday show Carrie, then 21, drinking wine and fooling around with a piece dressed as Braveheart.
Her friends at the glittering annual ball include Extinction Rebellion protester Kay Michael, who was topless in front of the Houses of Parliament last month.
She posed seductively next to Carrie in a white dress, scruffy jewelry, and a gold handbag at the University of Warwick.
The 32-year-old wore far less at the recent climate change demo, and the words “crop failure” were scrawled across her exposed breasts.
In 2018, she appeared to charge Mr Johnson and Theresa May with “crimes against humanity” on Heathrow’s third runway and participated in a “die-in” demo from Downing Street.
She isn’t Carrie’s only college friend who speaks out against her future husband.
Die „IT-Menge“
However, Carrie is still in contact with several who have had equally successful careers.
She showed her funny side in the university pictures and smiled brightly in crazy outfits – despite a traumatic court case that took place around the same time.
Her blonde hair was cut into a gorgeous one at the Horrible Histories gathering in 2009.
Sources say Carrie was the center of attention at the party and was believed to be her last one before the final exams.
In one picture, a male student – disguised as Scottish warrior William Wallace – has his arm over her shoulder and the other around her buddy’s waist.
In another case, the girls bend over while a sword swings over their heads.
Carrie had ambitions to become an actress before embarking on politics and campaigning.
She later became a Tory activist and communications director – while her friends went completely different ways.
A former friend told The Sun on Sunday, “This picture was taken at the Drama Ball, which was our annual celebration.
“It was very extravagant and everyone got dressed. If I remember correctly, the theme this year was ‘Horrible Histories’. Carrie studied theater and was lovely.
HARD TIME
“Very committed, passionate and committed. I’m not surprised to see where she is now.
“I knew she was in these circles and I heard that she got a job with the Conservatives.
“Many people in society have worked in the theater and in the arts.”
The drama bash took place at the luxurious Wroxall Abbey Hotel in Warwickshire.
One spectator said, “The students all let their hair down and enjoyed themselves.
“The annual ball is a big event on the university’s theater calendar and everyone would cut their fair share of alcohol. Carrie in particular received a lot of attention from the male students.
“But the friends she was with, too. They were the “it crowd”. All strong, independent women who knew what they wanted in life.
“They were glamorous and it was obvious that they were going to make a success of themselves.
“Carrie and the others were pretty down to earth, though. You worked hard and played hard and this night proved it.
“Everyone had a pleasant yet respectful time. Nothing got out of hand.
“It was harmonious and happy. Carrie was a party girl and was very popular.
Carrie was very engaging, passionate, and dedicated. I’m not surprised to see where she is now.
“They have all achieved great careers – only in places where you can tell they are 180 degrees apart.
“It’s fascinating to think that Carrie has a relationship with someone that some of the others are clearly not a fan of.”
32 year old Jo Duncombe now works for the British Council as a film programmer and curator.
She tweeted: “Please not Boris” when David Cameron announced his resignation the day after the 2016 EU referendum.
A few months later, Carrie attended The Quarter Club, a networking event organized by another friend, Jo and Saskia Roddick.
Carrie described it as an “incredible night” and said her two college mates were “amazing women.”
From toga to tory for fun-loving Abba fans

As our pictures show, the Prime Minister’s fiancée was just as popular as a student as she is today with the political elite.
She has a real spark about her. She has a wonderful sense of humor but is professional and mature beyond her 32 years.
During her time as a special advisor and head of communications, she taught ministers who were almost twice her age.
Carrie also had a knack for dealing with clumsy journalists – yours included, really – with respect and without losing their cool. Her friends describe her as warm, friendly, and loyal.
Her love for animals and for the protection of the environment shows her natural empathy.
She knows when to work and when to relax. She loves Abba and is not afraid to come on the dance floor.
So, with Boris and Carrie as parents, you can bet that five-month-old Wilfred is sure to inherit a zest for life.
