Text messages received from Fox News reveal that a company’s CEO is discussing a meeting with Joe Biden with Jim and Hunter Biden, despite the fact that the Democratic presidential candidate previously said he had not discussed his son’s business dealings.
The SMS chain was obtained after the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee and the Senate Finance Committee requested documents relating to Mr. Bobulinski’s business affairs with the Biden family.
Mr Bobulinski, who will be US President Donald Trump’s surprising special guest at today’s final presidential debate in Tennessee, forwarded the documents to the committees. Fox News also received these documents separately.
The messages seem to indicate that a meeting took place, although it is unclear what the content of the meeting might have been.
The text messages have nothing to do with the laptop or hard drive, which allegedly belongs to Hunter Biden and has been linked to an FBI money laundering investigation.
“Mrng, please let me know if we are going to have dinner early with your uncle and father and where, also for the translation of documents, would you simply like it to be Chinese or traditional?” Mr Bobulinski wrote to Hunter Biden on May 2, 2017 a SMS.
“I’m not sure about dinner yet and whatever is the most common for a Chinese legal DOC,” replied Hunter Biden.
“Chinese legal documents can be both, I do it traditionally,” wrote Bobulinski.
Hunter replied, “Dad won’t be there until 11am – let me meet Jim and me at 10am at Beverly Hilton, where he lives.”
Later that day, Mr Bobulinski sent a text to Jim Biden saying, “Nice to meet you and spend some time together. Please thank Joe for his time. It was great to talk to Tony b. ”
Another text message allegedly shows that Mr Bobulinski was instructed by another business associate, James Gilliar, not to mention the former Vice President’s involvement.
“Don’t mention Joe is involved, it’s only when you’re face to face. I know you know that, but they are paranoid, ”read a screenshot of the message.
The May 2, 2017 meeting would have happened just 11 days before Fox News’ email dated May 13, 2017, which included a discussion of “compensation packages” for six people at a Chinese energy store for celebrations.
In the email, Hunter Biden was apparently identified as “Chairman / Vice Chairman depending on the agreement with CEFC” in an apparent reference to CEFC China Energy Co, whose founder Ye Jianming has been detained in China since 2018 for bribery.
The email includes a note: “Hunter has some office expectations that he will work out.”
A proposed stock split refers to “20” for “H” and “10 of H for the big guy?” With no further details.
The Biden campaign has announced that it has published the former Vice President’s tax documents and tax returns, which do not reflect any involvement in Chinese investments.
The campaign declined to comment Fox News.
Mr Bobulinski, in a detailed statement that was made public to the media Fox News, the New York Post and Breitbart This week he said, “Hunter Biden called his father ‘the great’ or ‘my chairman’ and often referred to asking for his approval or advice on various possible deals that we were discussing.
“I saw Vice President Biden say he never spoke to Hunter about his business,” said Bobulinski.
“I’ve seen firsthand that that’s not true because it wasn’t just about Hunter, they said they would bring the Biden family name and legacy to the line.”
He added that he “realized that the Chinese weren’t really focused on a healthy financial return on investment” and that “they viewed it as a political or influential investment.”
“When I realized that Hunter wanted to use the company as his personal piggy bank by simply taking money out as soon as it came from the Chinese, I took steps to prevent it,” Bobulinski said, adding that he asked “The Biden family is reaching out to the American people and outlining the facts to make me irrelevant again – and so are not in a position to answer these questions for them.”
Mr Bobulinski said he did not have a “political ax to sharpen”.
“I just looked behind the Biden curtain and was increasingly concerned about what I saw,” he said. “The Biden family aggressively used the Biden family name to make millions of dollars from overseas businesses, even though some were from communist-controlled China.”
