The incident happened around 3 p.m. this afternoon on Ballydehob / Schull Road.
An 18-year-old man was flown to Cork University Hospital after the collision.
It is assumed that the bus had no children at the time.
According to AA Roadwatch, the road is blocked after a “serious” incident.
A Garda spokesman said: “Gardaí is currently at the site of a road collision with a car and a bus on the R592 that occurred on October 23, 2020 at 1:20 pm.
“A man was injured and hospitalized. There are currently no further updates. ”
