Cosimo Chionna, detained in the town of Rumersheim-Le-Haut, near Strasbourg, is suspected of raping or sexually abusing the children of his female companions between 2000 and 2014.

Germany has opened 122 investigations into 160 acts of rape or sexual assault against minors, according to France’s National Fugitive Search Brigade (BNRF), which added that the individual had recently fled the German country to settle in the border region of Alsace .
