At approximately 2:15 a.m. on the night of Saturday to Sunday, Columbus Police and Rescue responded to a call from a gas station about a shooting that allegedly took place not far away.

The man who notified the emergency services was in the car with his girlfriend when they were targeted by one or more person (s) driving a black SUV.

His girlfriend seriously injured, the man then transports her to the nearest gas station to call for help. Unfortunately, the help will not be able to do anything for the victim. When they arrived, it was already too late for Loubna Laassadi, a 25-year-old young woman of Moroccan origin who lost her life that day.

“We never think that it can happen to us”, told the press the brother of the young woman, Mehdi Laassadi, who calls to lay down the weapons and to stop these killings, of which his sister is the 128.^e victim since the beginning of the year in Columbus.

The young man also said that according to a witness, the shooting followed a heated exchange between his sister and a stranger who was in the line next door. “People have to learn to let it go. It’s sad that because of the smallest thing, people die. Now I know. I feel. My heart hurts for all the families, for each family who is missing a loved one, who have seen a loved one killed. It hurts, ”he continued.

“She loved music. She was making songs. She loved to sing. He was a person full of joy (…) always ready to help others, ”the victim’s brother recalled.
