Once the test has been successfully completed, the results show a duration of 8:25 hours for the iPhone 12 when using the 5G network and 10:23 hours on 4G. Without a doubt, it is a great difference between both technologies, it represents a difference of about 20%, or what is the same, 2 hours.
On the other hand, the iPhone 12 Pro yields a little more reaching 9:06 hours running on the 5G network and 11:24 hours on 4G, again about 20% better. This can save us at a specific moment in which we have not been able to go through a charger, since it is not included in the box, on time.
Compared to their respective predecessors, iPhone 12 lasts approximately 53 minutes less than iPhone 11, while iPhone 12 Pro lasted exactly one hour longer than iPhone 11 Pro. One gets worse, the other gets better.
If we go to comparisons with the competition, the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 + outperformed the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro when configured at 60 Hz. It is true that in this case we have a 4,000 mAh and 4,500 mAh battery, respectively. However, when both pairs are running on 5G alongside the 120Hz panel, the pair of Apple smartphones are victorious.
If we talk about the Google Pixel 5 and OnePlus 8T they outperformed the iPhone 12 duo even at their highest refresh settings of 90Hz and 120Hz, respectively.
It remains to be seen the battery capacity that the iPhone 12 mini model will have Apple, since it is the smallest of the family and should grant a worse autonomy. On the other hand, it also remains to be seen the autonomy that the iPhone 12 Pro Max will have on a day-to-day basis, since it is the company’s largest model and should give better results by having a greater amount of mAh.
