Until the strike in the security industry, the security company Avarn Security provided services at Sandvika Storsenter to ensure that visitors kept their distance.
Due to the ongoing security strike, the security services were reduced, and according to the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions, Securitas’ subsidiary, PSS Securitas, is now performing this job.
Union leader Anita Johansen says in a comment that it is morally reprehensible that strike-related work is carried out by unorganized workers and companies.
– It is also extremely uncollegial towards companies that are part of the ongoing strike. We therefore demand that this must cease immediately, says Johansen.
PSS Securitas has referred on to their customer Sandvika Storsenter after E24’s inquiries. The company also does not want to comment on Johansen’s statement.

Record-breaking security strike: – NHO does not talk to us
Center director at Sandvika Storsenter Kathrine Ingerø explains that the order given to PSS Securitas was two workers who were to take care of the infection control at the center.
The order was given on October 17, over a month after the guards went on strike.
– It was emphasized that they should be hired as part of the center’s service offer, Ingerø explains.
– No wonder
Christian Svensen, chief shop steward in Avarn Security, says he is not surprised.
– It is unfortunate that a subsidiary of Securitas takes over our task, but it is not surprising that an organization that chooses to be outside the trade union chooses to do this, says Svensen.
He also believes that it is uncollegial, but would like to emphasize that it is not certain that the employees know that they are taking over the work of industry colleagues.

Forced mediation in the security strike did not succeed – the strike continues
Mediation did not lead
After a four-week strike, the parties in the security guard strike met for forced mediation on Thursday last week, but the mediation did not succeed. Thus, the strike continued.
– NHO claims they have come up with a good offer. Parat believes the offer is worse than what we went on strike for. Therefore, we had no choice but to continue the strike, said chief negotiator in Parat, Lars Petter Larsen to NTB on Thursday.
The strike has now been going on for over a month, and so far 2,169 guards have been taken out on strike. Among the demands from the employee side is that the supplements for night and weekend work must be increased.
The director of NHO Service og Handel has previously stated that they have met the employee on their main demands and offered good salary supplements, corresponding to what other groups have agreed to.
